The 30,000 SF dataprint and mail-processing center for the Equitable Life Assurance Society required a thorough understanding of complex operations and equipment required to handle the printing, packaging, stamping and sorting of more than a quarter million pieces of mail a day. The building features custom designed, raised-access flooring capable of supporting mainframe computers and rolling loads of paper, as well as special storage racks for raw and printed paper goods. Services included the design of a fully mechanized, 8,000 SF column free primary processing room, storage and loading dock facilities, and a fully networked office landscape system.
