The computer laboratory and conference center designed for the currency exchange operation of a major consortium of banks functions as a showcase for demonstrating proprietary, state-of-the-art software to prospective customers. Program capabilities and features are projected on a translucent glass wall leading to the laboratory/conference areas and possible solutions are presented in real time via digital data shown on plasma screens located at each end of the main conference room.

The conference rooms are separated from the laboratory with clear glass partitions and pre-programmed lighting scenarios direct customers’ attention to specific activities in each space. All equipment, not germane to the basic, computer hardware operation, is screened from view by a wall of demountable, perforated aluminum panels. An abstract, floor-to ceiling, wall graphic mounted on the exterior of the laboratory identifies the entrance to the center.
